The title of this post is kind of funny because EVERY place in Marfa is a unique place to stay. And we’ve stayed at many of them —El Cosmico, The Thunderbird, a loft rental when power went out in the entire town. But here’s a new vacation home rental in Marfa that we stayed at on our last voyage to Marfa. Bonus: It’s pet-friendly!

But first, this dress! It’s another favorite by Monica Mahoney.
I love a white eyelet dress and this white eyelet Elsa dress by Monica Mahoney is one size fits many, which makes it roomy and easy, breezy – my fave!
Note: It is see-thru, so I’m wearing a light slip underneath. But it would make a great cover-up too!
Okay, back to this vacation home rental in Marfa…
It’s called The Highland Service Station.
A former gas station from the 1940s, it’s been updated with midcentury-modern interiors. You can see photos of the interiors here.
It was very thoughtfully designed, with concrete floors, a great kitchen, and a clawfoot tub in an outdoor atrium.
While hotels can be nice, you just get so much more space with a home rental.
I will say that a couch would have been a nice addition, but if you’re looking for more room, there’s a second property right next door called La Mistica that looks cool!
Have you been to Marfa? If so, where’s your favorite place to stay in Marfa?
Tip: If you do have a dog, note that the grass in Marfa has a lot of burrs in it. We found the best place to walk Odee for tinkle time was at the beautiful peachy pink Marfa courthouse.
